The mission is to establish a resilient, supportive and professionally managed technical support ecosystem for people, institutions, and communities to enable productive utilization of technological resources.

Mandate and Operations

The Chamber is mandated to ensure efficient, productive, resilient, effective and relevant adoption and adaptation of technology in skill development, device access and digital inclusion work. It conducts deeper analysis of technical needs and support requirements, profiles various technical resources and differences, and directs operations to sustain digital inclusion work across sectors.

Key operational activities include promoting digital skills and efficient management processes by monitoring digital inclusion operations, providing reliable and quality technical support through software and hardware solutions, and driving a resilient technical support ecosystem through partnerships. The Chamber also leads e-waste collection, management and planning across sectors and regions in Africa, offers technology-driven consultative support to individuals and organizations, and supports software transitions and industry standardization.

The Division of Academia Technical Management focuses on managing academic technical resources, supporting educational institutions in adopting digital tools, and fostering academic collaborations.
