The Chamber's vision is a digitally inclusive society through meaningful, affordable, and accessible digital devices to enhance productivity, fulfilment, and positive life outcomes. Its mission is to democratize access, use, and ownership of digital devices for everyone, irrespective of conditional ties, fostering better livelihoods and positive life outcomes.

Core Operations

The Chamber operates across multiple strategic areas. It promotes affordability, accessibility, ownership, and safe use of digital devices such as computers. It sets up, maintains, and upgrades educational labs from simple computer labs to STEM labs, then to SMART labs for primary education, and builds, supports, and evolves labs for high schools and middle-level schools into STEAM and Smart labs.

The Chamber builds, maintains, and collaboratively manages a Digital Inclusion Research Laboratory within tertiary institutions for academic and societal impact. It promotes local assembling of computers across Africa and researches, monitors, and evaluates the digital device value chain in Africa. The Chamber also supports democratization of digital device accessories through outreach programmes and aligns community needs via a device access bank with comprehensive information support.

Chamber Divisions

The Chamber operates through five specialized divisions. The Division of Partnership for Device Access focuses on building strategic partnerships to improve device access across communities. The Division of Device Ownership Assistance provides support programmes to facilitate device ownership in underserved areas, whilst the Division of Community Device Access ensures community-based access points and digital literacy programmes.

The Division of Africa Computer Assembly promotes local manufacturing and assembly of computers across Africa, and the Division of Africa Devices Manufacturing supports the development of local manufacturing capacities for digital devices. Together, these divisions enable the Chamber to deliver comprehensive solutions across the full spectrum of device access, ownership, and local production.
